"My apologys Monsieur it seems my mind was somehwere else last night. I did not sleep well and was feeling a bit ill." said Christine quickly. This was not in the least bit true, Christine was feeling quite well last night but her mind was off in the clouds.

Carlotta emerged and opened Christine's door and let out a high laugh. "Ah, piu non posso!" She cried. "Fool!" And she left, laughing

(I am new to this so please excuse me. I dunno if I am doing this correctly. If I am wrong, please let me know)
Madame Giry lightly tapped at Christine's door and entered after Christine beckoned her in.
Although she was dearly fond of Erik, it almost pained her to give Christine any correspondence from him. She knew he loved her, worryingly so and it did concern her. She knew Erik would never harm her but he knew so little of the real world. He didn't know how to deal with emotion and she worried for Christine's welfare.
She almost reluctantly handed over the letter to Christine
"He asked me to give you this"
She stood silent for a moment, not knowing whether to leave or wait until the letter had been opened

"Christine, you look worried. What does it say?" Meg asked as she trailed her mother in. Christine was like her sister and she could not bare to see her worried again.
